The M6 will be shut northbound during Tuesday evening as bridge repairs continue.
AdvertisementThe Stewart’s Wood Bridge work means Highways Agency North West is closing the motorway from Junction 32 (Broughton) to Junction 33 (Garstang).
The northbound-only closure is from 8pm on Tuesday (19 September) until 6am on Wednesday (20 September).

The agency had advised there would be overnight closures while it carries out eight weeks of work to resurface and repair the bridges.
Two lanes of the M6 between Junction 32-33 are closed for a short section of the motorway during the day and are expected to be in place until the end of October.
