BMW driver dead after crash on A6 at Forton

A driver has died after a crash on the A6 at Forton during Wednesday (27 September) morning.

The BMW X2 left the main road at Hollins Lane and collided with banking and a metal pole.

The crash at 6.05am seriously injured the driver of the vehicle and they died a short time later.

There were long delays on the A6 as police closed off the road following the crash and it re-opened shortly after 9am.

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 204 of Sep 27.
