A Fylde man has created an AI concept of what could replace Royal Preston Hospital in Fulwood.
With a new ‘preferred site’ identified for RPH – likely to be in South Ribble – Steven Webberley posted his vision for Sharoe Green Urban Village to LinkedIn, saying it was a chance to finally give Fulwood “the town centre it deserves”.

Steven said: “Since the Royal Preston Hospital will be rebuilt on a new site within the next ten years, I strongly feel a sustainable, humane urbanism should take its place – and finally giving Fulwood the Town Centre it deserves.”
Steven continued: “I’m thinking of a streets-based urban village with a big mix of demographics, the architecture a mix of trad and contemporary but all with a local contextual palette (think brick, some stone, some render with touches of colour).
“The second photo is more a fantasty scene I created – but the height can be chopped in half. Gentle density is key!”
