One of Preston’s main venues is set to re-open its doors.
The club venue upstairs at 53 Degrees is being brought back into use first.
The University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union is kick-starting the venue from Sunday (24 September) as students return to the city.

Students’ Union president Luke Fitzgerald said: “I can’t wait to see 53 Venue and Club up and running again as an event space. As a student, a lot of my student experience was impacted by COVID-19 but I always heard stories of how great 53 Club was and the memories former students made there.
“I’m sure alumni of the past and our new students will be as thrilled as each other to hear it’s re- opening as an event space again.
“I’ll be there on the first night and hope as many students as possible join me. Who knows, maybe we’ll make the place successful enough that Beyonce decides Preston is the place to be!”
A new Lampworks social space for students is also being created as part of the proposals for bringing acts back into 53 Degrees.
