Preston City Council is set to sign off spending £25,699.41 on the upgrade to the play area.
Existing equipment currently over grass will see a new wet pour rubber surfacing which means the equipment is useable even in wetter weather.
Councillors are set to hear the proposals at a meeting of the city council’s cabinet on Wednesday (16 August).
