The ever popular chance to climb the tallest parish church spire in the UK is back again.
St Walburge’s Church is throwing open its doors for people to take the climb and enjoy the views from the 309-foot high spire.
It’s the third-tallest spire in the UK and the tallest on a parish church.

The hall has a hammerbeam roof which it’s said the architect Joseph Hansom tried out on the parish hall before installing in St Walburge’s.

Funds from the spire climbs are going towards the restoration fund as St Walburge’s seeks to ensure its rose window is maintained.
The climbs are on Saturday 12 August, Sunday 13 August, Saturday 19 August and Sunday 20 August and cost £10 + booking fees.
You must book online via Eventbrite and there’s time-slots between 2pm to 5pm each day. You must be aged seven or over to complete the climb.
