Smoke warning after vehicle fire at Walton Summit

Motorists are being advised to avoid part of Walton Summit industrial estate due to a vehicle on fire.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has six crews at Banksfield Place within Walton Summit Centre.
Crews from Leyland, Penwortham, Preston, Darwen and Fulwood along with an aerial ladder platform attended the fire at 8.37am on Friday (11 August).

As of 9.30am the crews remained in attendance and no one is reported to be hurt.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Please avoid the area. If you are affected by smoke, keep all windows and doors closed.”
