Preston Police said her family were by her bedside as she passed away during Thursday morning.

The girl, a pedestrian, and two other children were taken to hospital after a collision involving a van in Garstang Road (A6) at Barton on Tuesday at 1.15pm.

A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl also suffered injuries and remain in hospital for treatment.
A 59-year-old man from Nateby, near Garstang, has been released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury.
Sergeant Rebecca Price of the road policing unit said: “A little girl has very sadly lost her life as a result of this collision and my thoughts are with her loved ones. I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through at this time.
“Our investigation into this collision is ongoing and I would continue to appeal to anyone with information or footage to get in touch.”
