Preston’s university has been ranked as the third-best in the North West for student satisfaction.
The University of Central Lancashire was scored at 81 per cent for student positivity compared to an average of 79 per cent for universities across the UK.
UCLan was ranked 34th out of all universities for its scores in the National Student Survey with more than 330,000 students at higher education institutions across the UK responding.

The university scored particularly strongly for ‘assessment and feedback’ finishing 25th out of all universities on this score.
Vice-Chancellor Graham Baldwin said: “I’m absolutely delighted with our results. We have seen good scores across the board especially in assessment and feedback which is vital in helping students to achieve.
“Getting this positive endorsement from our students of the hard work we have put into making improvements, is the ultimate accolade.
“Students and their experience are at the heart of everything we do, and we will continue to act on feedback to ensure we continuously improve. Thanks to our student community who took thew time to share their views and to our staff who dedicate themselves to transforming people’s lives through learning.”

The university is currently open for the clearing process – with a number of courses available to those who have received their A-levels and are still making their decision.
