A man has been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty in Leyland.
South Ribble Police confirmed they had received multiple reports of a puppy being beaten by a man in the Leyland Lane area.
The incident took place on Friday (4 August) between 8pm and 8.30pm and a man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of animal cruelty.

The injured puppy was taken by police to receive veterinary care.
A spokesperson for police said: “We appreciate this is a very sensitive subject and we’re now appealing for any CCTV of this incident.”
