Fire shuts Hartleys Wine Bar in Preston city centre

A popular Preston city centre wine bar will be shut until Friday lunchtime due to a fire.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service sent four crews from Preston, Fulwood and Penwortham to Hartleys Wine Bar in Mount Street off Fishergate in the city centre.

The fire started around 12.40pm on Wednesday (16 August).

Smoke was seen coming from the property above Hartleys.

Crews remained in attendance for most of Wednesday afternoon.

In a statement Hartleys said: “Sorry we are closed until Friday due to a small fire.”

The bar is expected to re-open on Friday lunchtime.
