The team said: “It was an amazing feeling to win the tournament and to do so unbeaten. Hats off to the team behind Sam’s legacy for all their hard work organising it all and for such a good cause.
“The team can’t wait for next year already and hopefully can raise even more money for the legacy.”
All funds raised on the day go towards helping the Sir Tom Finney Soccer Centre’s refugee project where they put on football sessions for asylum seekers and refugees in the city.
Sam’s brother, Tom, who helped organise the tournament said: “Next year we aim to keep building, and keep bringing more people together and continuing Sam’s legacy through football.
“A huge thanks to all players, volunteers, spectators, local businesses and donators. We had more than 150 people come down. See you again next year.”
