Police seek witnesses after ‘distressed woman’ seen walking on A677 near Samlesbury Hall

Police are appealing for witnesses in connection with an assault and sexual assault.

A 41-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested as part of the police investigation.

He was arrested on suspicion of assault and sexual assault.

Preston Police are appealing for anyone who saw a distressed woman walking along Preston New Road near Mellor Brook around 3.45pm on 5 June.

The woman was holding a suitcase and walking in the direction of Preston. Police say she was close to Samlesbury Hall.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 1072 of June 2, 2023 or email 4807@lancashire.police.uk
