Man in hospital after Ribbleton Avenue crash

A man is in a serious condition in Royal Preston Hospital after a crash in Ribbleton during Saturday evening.

Preston Police were called to Ribbleton Avenue to reports a pedestrian and a car had collided.

A man in his 30s, the pedestrian, suffered serious injuries to his head and pelvis.

A Mercedes car was involved in the crash which took place at 11.21pm on Saturday (22 July) near the junction with Woodside Avenue.

Sergeant Steve Hardman of Lancashire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are appealing for people who were in the area to contact us.

“If you witnessed the collision or were driving in the Ribbleton Avenue area around the time and have dashcam footage, please come forward

“The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and our thoughts are with him as he receives treatment in hospital.”
