A search of the property uncovered £1,500 in cash, scales, bags, a mobile phone and a zombie style knife.

After consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Joel Bowden, 18, from Wirral, Merseyside, was charged with being concerned with the supply of a Class A drug. He was due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Monday (17 July) morning.

The raid took place after information received from the public about a concern for safety.

Chief Inspector Julie Rawsthorne, of Preston Police, said: “I hope that our continued activity against drugs clearly shows how committed we are to tackling serious and organised crime, which is a threat to communities across Lancashire.

“Drugs can do serious harm to society and this sends out a clear message that we won’t tolerate drug dealing in Lancashire.”

Anyone with information or concerns about drug dealing in their area can call police on 101 or give information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
