Motorists on the M6 and M55 at Preston are experiencing major delays during Friday evening.
National Highways North West say a broken down vehicle on the M6 southbound between J32 (Broughton) and J31 (Samlesbury) is causing the delays.
There’s delays of more than an hour on the M6 southbound on the approach and it’s also causing delays on the M55 eastbound with 30-minute delays back to Junction 3 (Kirkham).

Preston Police are on the scene and two of four lanes remain closed on the motorway southbound.
There’s also congestion on the M6 northbound and M61 northbound, delays are back to Junction 29 on the M6 north and Juntion 8 on the M61 north.
Delays are expected until around 7pm on Friday (28 July) as holiday-makers heading for their weekends and weeks away add to the congestion around Preston.
