Colleagues of a couple who have seen their little girl diagnosed with leukaemia have pulled together in their aid.
AdvertisementWorkers at Booths in Penwortham got on their bikes to cycle the Guild Wheel to help out three-year-old Darcie and their family.
Mum, Joanna, works at the Booths and her colleagues got pedalling the 21-mile route over the weekend of 29/30 July to help a fundraiser to support Darcie’s treatment go through the £2,000 mark.

Friend Dana Andrews wrote on the fundraising page: “Darcie was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She is only three years old, and while it is treatable, she and her family now face a very challenging two years of treatment.
“Obviously this will have a huge impact on family life, massively affecting Joanna and Andy’s work and domestic situations for the foreseeable future.”
