The charity has teamed up with Leyland Trucks to bring a Truck Pull competition to its popular garden fete on Sunday, June 25.

Head of Community Engagement, Emma Jacovelli, said: “There’s something for everyone at our annual family fun day, from lots of live entertainment, games and activities, to delicious food, a great range of stalls, and more!
“We’re really excited to be hosting the Truck Pull on our main driveway this year, with teams of four welcome to sign up in advance – we’re looking forward to see hundreds of supporters cheering on the contestants.”
The event takes place from 11am until 4pm in St Catherine’s Park, Lostock Hall, which is already decorated with yellow ribbons for the occasion, each one tied in memory of someone special.
Everyone is invited to make a Yellow Ribbon dedication to see their loved one’s name written on a ribbon in the hospice gardens, and included in the St Catherine’s Yellow Ribbon Remembrance Book. Tributes are welcome in honour of anyone, not only those who have experienced the hospice’s specialist care.

Donations made through the campaign and raised on Yellow Ribbon Day will go towards the end-of-life and palliative care provided by St Catherine’s at the hospice and in people’s own homes, as well as the ongoing emotional and bereavement support offered to families and the local community.
