Road closed after Blackpool Road crash

Blackpool Road in Plungington was closed last night following a road traffic collision.

The incident happened near the junction with Plungington Road.

Update: Police appealing for dashcam footage after confirming crash was between moped and police van

A tweet from a spokesperson for Preston Police at 11.42pm on Sunday (11 June) said: “Please be aware following a Road Traffic Collision, Blackpool Road is currently closed between Plungington Road and Brackenbury Road.

“We’re working to reopen this as soon as possible. Many thanks for your patience.”

An eyewitness described the scene as a “nasty looking motorbike accident”.
