The musical by Dennis Kelly is based on Roald Dahl’s popular tale and follows a young girl’s yearning for a better life and the children she inspires. The performance promises to be filled with electrifying dance routines and catchy melodies, with music and lyrics written by Tim Minchin, and is suitable for the whole family.
Miss Sherwood, Head of Performing Arts, said: “It is such an exciting time for us and we are delighted to be putting on what is our first musical production in years.
“Everyone is working so hard and there is such a buzz around the place – it is set to be a brilliant show and I hope as many people as possible can come and support our talented pupils.”
The show will run from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 July. Doors open at 6.45pm, and the performance will start at 7pm prompt. Tickets are £5 for under 16s, £8 for adults, £20 for a family of four (two adults and two children).
Tickets are available from the Archbishop Temple website.
