A Stop the War demo in support of Ukraine is to take place in Preston.

Taking place on Wednesday 5 July from 7pm the city is being urged to come together to be part of demanding peace following Russia’s aggression in February last year.

The event is being held at the Hamaraa Centre in Castleton Road, Deepdale.

Speakers at the event – which is listed for two hours – include Mukhtar Master from the Preston Faith Covenant, Michael Lavalette from Stop The War, Jenny Clegg also of Stop The War, Alan Dent a Preston activist and Peter Billington secretary of the Burnley Branch opf Unite the Union.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to join the Facebook Event called Peace Talks Now – End The War in Ukraine.
