A Mexican restaurant in Preston City Centre has closed its doors permanently following difficulties in the hospitality industry.
Managed by local restaurant entrepreneur Mark O’Rourke, La Neta opened in January 2021 offering authentic Mexican flavours and re-opened once again in August 2022.

Mark who also owns 263 and Plau Bar and Bistro said: “I’ve had to close La Neta as it didn’t do well when we reopened.
“It’s difficult in the hospitality industry and there has been record closures across hospitality, with the cost of living everyone is feeling the pinch.”
Mark told Blog Preston that a new traditional Italian food spot called ‘Paffuto’ will act as a replacement in the St Wilfrid Street venue, with the new owners wanting to do ‘real carbonara and Neopolitan style wood fire pizzas’.
