Freddie Flintoff won’t return to his TV series Field of Dreams as he continues to recover from his Top Gear accident, according to reports.
Freddie had reportedly been due to to film the second series of the popular BBC show this spring.
The first series – which was watched by more than 3.3 million viewers – saw Freddie form a cricket team of youngsters from his home city Preston to challenge the idea that the game was only for the ‘posh, privileged and privately-educated’.
The Sun reports that a show source said: “Freddie loved Field Of Dreams and was looking forward to filming a second series, but it is unlikely to film any time soon and won’t make it to air this year.
“The crew are looking for other work – the whole show centres around Freddie.
“The Top Gear incident was very serious, he is convalescing.”
