Peter Jackson the Jeweller is celebrating 40 years of trading in Preston.
The family business kicked off a year of ruby anniversary celebrations by inviting 40 special guests to a banquet at Samlesbury Hall.
The guest list was made up of family, friends, suppliers and customers who have been a part of managing director Peter Jackson’s personal or business life over the last four decades.
Also around the table were eight of the jewellery firm’s team with a total of 176 years’ service between them.
Michelin Star chef Nigel Haworth created a six-course meal, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Guests were seated in the Grand Hall at a candle-lit table decorated with ruby red roses.
Peter said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be celebrating 40 years in business and look forward to many more.
“It is a privilege to have been serving the people of Preston for such a long time and we are extremely grateful to our loyal and dedicated customer base – many of whom have shopped with us for so long they now feel more like family.
“We have been a part of so many special occasions – engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, Valentines, Mothers and Fathers days and many more. Each one unique to the people involved and each one a joy to be included in.”

Craig Leach, Brand Director for Raymond Weil, attended the banquet.
Speaking at the event, Craig said: “I just wanted to express my grateful thanks for including me in your special celebration of 40 years in our wonderful industry.
“This is no small achievement, and careers like yours will become rarer over time and to celebrate
with you last night was a real privilege.”
