A fundraiser event to support the Soundskills creative community centre is being held in Ribbleton this April 2023.
Soundskills is run by the Brookfield Spaceplace charity; made up of the local community.
This year marks the 20th anniversary for the centre aiming to improve the quality of life of everyone on the Brookfield estate, by providing creative opportunities through facilities such as music and photography studios.
The fundraiser organised by Brookfield Spaceplace has a target goal of £33,150 that will go towards much-needed repair works on the ‘tired building’.

The local community has set up an ‘Easter Family Prize Bingo’ night on Friday 14 April, to make the goal a reality.
The event will take place at St Gregory’s social club in Blackpool Road, Deepdale, from 7pm to 11pm
On Facebook, Victoria Catherine gave praise to Chris Davis from Soundskills.
She said: “Soundskills have always helped use when we’ve needed it, so now it’s our turn to help them.
“Some local people in the community have organised this night, please come down to support them.
“Chris is honestly one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met, the amount of projects and activities he has put on for me personally and the community over the years has been amazing.
“We are so lucky to have a man like this in our community. He deserves the world, but they need this money to be able to continue working in the community.”
