A new eco-friendly eyewear company has launched at the Fishergate Shopping Centre in Preston City Centre.
ecoeyes is a small local business run by self-proclaimed Proud Prestonians.
The brand aims to provide high-quality, eco-friendly prescription glasses and sunglasses.
Products are made while customers wait, with prices starting at £39.
A spokesperson for ecoeyes said: “As a company we are acutely aware of the difficulties faced in the current economic climate. Providing sustainable and stylish eyewear at an affordable price is something we are all passionate about.
“We offer a wide range of frames crafted from sustainable materials such as bamboo, wood, Bioacetate, and recycled plastic. All of our packaging is eco-friendly and biodegradable to help reduce waste and minimise our impact on the environment.
“We also want to actively work to improve the environment so, for every purchase, we pledge to plant a tree in a conservation area of the customer’s choice.”
