A man was arrested in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday 14 February for drug offences.
Close to J31 of the M6, a HGV vehicle was stopped by Tac Ops officers after it was believed that the driver was under the influence.
After a drugs test, the driver tested positive for cannabis and a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. He is currently in custody.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “If you know anyone that drink or drug drives, then please pass us the information and we will act on it. You may save a life or prevent someone being seriously injured. “
