Two people have been arrested following reports of motorcyclists riding on pavements and causing nuisance in Preston.
The first call came in around 1.40pm, on Monday 13 February, when it was reported that a large BMW bike was being ridden at high speed along pavements in the Moor Park area.
Preston Police attended and found the bike – stolen the previous night from an address in Penwortham – had been abandoned, with several people making off on foot.

Officers detained a 15-year-old boy on St Paul’s Road on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
The second call came in at around 2.40pm, when it was reported a man had been travelling at high speed along pavements and down narrow streets and had almost collided with a pedestrian in the Ribbleton area on an off-road bike.

Officers tracked the rider down to an alleyway behind Blundell Road in Fulwood, where he had tried to hide both himself and the bike.
A 21-year-old man from Preston was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving under the influence of drugs and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
A spokesperson for Preston Police said: “We hope this sends a message that will not tolerate nuisance motorcyclists causing misery in our communities.”
