Toys and chocolates have been delivered to young patients at Royal Preston Hospital.
Light Foundation and Peace Matters, in partnership with Kashmir Watan Foodstores, made their third annual visit to RPH with the donations in an attempt to bring some joy to those spending Christmas in hospital.
The groups were joined by the Mayor of Preston, Councillor Neil Darby, and several volunteers from the local community.
A spokesperson for the Light Foundation said: “Whilst we were sad to have not been able to visit the children themselves due to the current health and safety restrictions, we were delighted in being able to put a smile on their faces by giving these gifts.
“With the outbreak of Strep A infections, we were determined more than ever to bring some form of happiness to them and their families.
“We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Royal Preston Hospital for such a memorable evening, and to the brilliant NHS workers for their ongoing service during difficult times.”
