Announcing the first Blog Preston Top Scran Awards!

Are you a butter pie guy? A scone mon? A parched pea she? A pate they? Then your city needs you!

Blog Preston is searching for the very best of Preston’s favourite foodstuffs, so we are asking our readers to nominate takeaways, bakeries and sandwich shops for each specific food item category.

This week we’re searching for the city’s best chips and gravy.

The businesses with the most nominations will get the opportunity to impress a panel of blind tasters in a moderately tense taste-off, and the winning establishment will get to proudly display a Blog Preston Top Scran certificate, exquisitely hand-designed by Yvonne with every expense spared.

Runners-up will get an honourable mention and an enthusiastic doorstep clap accompanied by the banging of pans, worth approximately 5 per cent of £33,000 (not exchangeable for money, food, rent or anything else of value).
