A volunteer recruitment drive is set to taken place in Bamber Bridge.
Organisers South Ribble Borough Council will be joined by over 20 community groups and charities including Finley’s Families CIC, Talkin’ Tables, Friends of Leyland Station, Leyland In Bloom, Read Easy Preston, St Aidan’s Community Hub, Carr Street Community Centre, St James Community Centre, Christian Community Larder, South Ribble Scouts, The Wellness Café, Bamber Bridge Methodist Church, South Ribble Guides, Samaritans, Age Concern Charity Shops, Key Unlocking Futures and Lancashire Adult Learning.
The aim is to recruit new volunteers for local community groups in order to reduce isolation, encourage friendships, share experiences and increase civic pride in areas.

The event will take place from 4.30pm to 8pm on Wednesday 11 January at Bamber Bridge Football Club.
The club has donated the space for free, and the bar will be open.
