Police believe the same women who took an 89-year-old man’s wallet in Preston stole from another elderly victim on the same day.
Officers asked for help to identify the two women after the man’s wallet was stolen out of his pocket while he was in Novello in Fishergate at around 11am on Tuesday 20 December.
He had gone into the clothing shop to wish the staff a Merry Christmas.

The second theft happened on the same afternoon, when an 85-year-old woman had her purse stolen from her handbag in Stringers Department Store in Lytham.
PC Danielle Lilley of Preston Police said: “These crimes are despicable and callous acts of theft from elderly victims and I would urge anyone who knows these women or who has any information to get in touch.”
Anyone with information should email 2456@lancashire.police.uk or call 101, quoting log 420 of December 20, 2022.
