Preston City Council are seeking the public’s views on the revised draft Barton Village Neighbourhood Plan.

Barton Parish Council submitted an updated version of the plan in November, following comments from the City Council on the June 2022 submission.

The Parish Council says Barton – which has around 1,200 residents – has grown significantly in the last five years.

The Council says the community wants to work alongside Preston City Council and Wyre Council to “achieve a sustainable future for the village”.

The consultation period started on Wednesday 18 January and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 1 March.

After this the plan will be submitted for independent examination.
