Bianco in Friargate has been served with a closure order for two months after multiple reports of serious anti-social behaviour.
Partnership working between Preston Police and the Preston City Council saw magistrates grant the order under Section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Police Act 2014.
The 24-hour takeaway is closed until 4 March 2023, following numerous reports of assault, criminal damage and affray.
Review: Preston’s Middle Eastern takeaway that failed to deliver
Inspector Bernie Coburn, from Preston Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This closure order comes after months of hard work alongside our partners in the council to ensure that this behaviour is stopped and to protect our local community.
“I hope that this positive result sends out a clear message to those involved that we will take action against those who look to make others lives a misery with crime and anti-social behaviour.”
A licence review hearing will take place on Tuesday 23 January.
