Officers from Preston’s neighbourhood policing team were out and about this week as part of a series of engagement days aimed at providing community reassurance and preventing crime and disorder.

On Monday 28 November, officers spent the day engaging with businesses in Preston, visiting local businesses and having positive conversations regarding the recent spike in Anti-Social Behaviour and their progress with tackling it.

Another engagement day took place on Wednesday 30 November.

“Keeping the communities and visitors safe remains a priority in Preston and while patrols will remain ongoing in the area we want to thank all those who spoke with us on Monday and we hope to continue those positive conversations on Wednesday.

“Everyone should be able to visit Preston safely and enjoy their time here.  We have been working hard behind the scenes with partners to address the recent problems and will be introducing short and long-term initiatives to help combat the issues.”

Members of the public can sign up to Lancashire Talking and complete the survey to help provide a multi-partnership approach going forward.
