The Rotary Club of Longridge and North Preston is organising a charity Christmas tree collection.

Trees will be collected from across parts of Preston and the Ribble Valley on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 January.

All proceeds raised will go to local charities and community causes. Last year’s tree collection raised £2,000 for the North West Children’s Support Group.

Everyone involved in the initiative is a volunteer, and the trees are sustainably recycled as part of the Fylde Sand Dunes Project.

Volunteers will collect trees from LongridgeGoosnarghGrimsarghBarton, Knowle Green, Cottam, Woodplumpton, AshtonFulwoodBroughton, and Ribchester.
