Chain House Brewing Co has moved out of a converted garage in Longton to just off Friargate in the centre of Preston.
The brewery has opened a taproom, which has a view of the vessels in a much larger brewhouse, in Market Street West.
The move coincides with Chain House Brewing Co winning a prestigious gold award, this time not for its beer but for its new logotype design.
The marque caught the eye of the international panel at The Shark Creative Awards. The competition is highly regarded throughout the design industry and in winning the gold award the Chain House marque saw off entrants from around the world.
Ryan Hayes, who set up the brewery five years ago, said: “It’s an important step in what is fast becoming an exciting time for us.
“Our existing badge has served us well and will continue to feature on the brands that it has become widely associated with. However, we felt we needed a new marque for our taproom which has a public bar area that offers a whole range of beers. Now that the new logotype has been designed, and recognised at such a high level, we can focus our attention on what we love most, brewing the best beers around.”

Ben Casey, creative director of The Chase Creative Consultants who designed the marque, and whose involvement in the area extends beyond logotype designs, added: “The brewery’s opening will coincide with the reopening of their revamped neighbour now named LOST Bar and Pizzeria.
“These are the first two pieces of a jigsaw that aims to transform an unloved part of Preston city centre into a social and cultural destination. There is a lot more in the pipeline to follow.”
