A tractor-led convoy featuring dozens of lorries, vans and diggers has raised over £2,000 for end of life charity Marie Curie.
Organised by Bryan Eccleston and now in its second year, the convoy lit up the roads around Preston in the build-up to Christmas.
The two-hour light spectacular featured a procession of vehicles – including a Santa float – covering a 16-mile route starting at Inskip and taking in villages including Catforth, Great Eccleston and Roseacre.
This year’s event, which featured over 60 vehicles, was held in memory of Bryan’s mum Mandy who was cared for by Marie Curie nurses.
All the money raised will go towards helping fund more palliative care nurses and assistants to care for other people in Lancashire.

Organiser Bryan – who has so far raised over £2,300 – is now looking to reach a target of £3,000 by the new year.
He said: “I wanted to do something in my mum’s memory and Marie Curie are a great charity and a cause close to my heart as their nurses were great looking after my mum.
“The event was a big Christmas celebration and a lot of fun to cheer people up with everything that is going on with the cost of living, and it also raised vital money to help care for the terminally ill.
“This year we have already managed to raise a great amount but we are still looking for more and there is still time for people to donate on my JustGiving page and help a great charity to help others.”

Gina Hopwood, Community Fundraiser in Lancashire for Marie Curie, added: “We work really closely with the Preston and Garstang community. It has been a privilege to be involved with Bryan in supporting his tractor run.
“Every donation that Marie Curie receives will allow us to continue our vital work to support terminally ill in the community providing care, advice and support.”
