The bells are on sale at Barton Grange Garden Centre for £3.99 each, with £2 going to charity.

One local resident, five-year-old Eloise Ballantyne of Garstang, was treated to a red-ribboned bell by her parents Martin and Amy Ballantyne.

They bought Eloise the bell to share with baby brother Nathaniel, who was born earlier this year, in support of mum and newborn charity Baby Beat.

The charity helped the family after they lost baby Louie in 2021.

Bells can also be bought in support of Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Skiggle and Mind Lancashire.
