Car fire at Preston Docks stopped from spreading to nearby buildings

Firefighters battled a vehicle fire in Ashton-on-Ribble during Sunday evening.

On Sunday 4 December, one fire engine from Penwortham attended the incident on Chain Caul Way at 9.21pm.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The incident involved one vehicle which was well alight when crews arrived.”

“Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for one hour.”
