It’s been a pretty quiet month for Preston North End Women, with back to back games cancelled due to bad weather and waterlogged pitches.
First there was a cancellation against Penwortham Town and then the cup tie away versus Morecambe Ladies, giving the Lilywhites a break from the action.
The team was also looking for a friendly at the start of November, due to the weekend of Sunday 13 November devoted to the Women’s FA Cup games, that Preston were knocked out of by Bradford City Women.
The Lancashire FA Women’s Challenge Cup game was arranged to rollover to Sunday 27 November, but with Morecambe unable to fulfil the tie, North End are through to the quarter final where they will face Atherton Laburnum Rovers.
Preston will look to repeat their previous performance against Atherton, as they comfortably netted three goals against them on Sunday 18 September.
