A group of Preston masons have donated over 400 items to the Intact Centre’s food pantry.
The Preston Guild Lodge masons recently celebrated the group’s centenary with a special meeting where raised they funds for charity.
Preston Guild Lodge spokesperson David Parker said: “One of the mantras of the lodge is ‘to be ever mindful of the needs of others’.
“With this firmly in mind, we decided to devote the fundraising to Whitby’s Pantry so that they could help others who may be in need.”
Over £400 was raised at the meeting, with the money being used to buy over 400 items of essential groceries based on a shopping list provided by the Intact Centre.

David continued: “The team at Aldi Fulwood Central helped us build the order and have it ready for collection.
“Two SUVs were needed to collect the order, which was immediately delivered to the Intact Centre for use in Whitby’s Pantry.”
Intact’s Ian Wright greeted the masons at Whitby’s Pantry.
Ian said: “With such a large supply we will be able to support so many people. It will also free up resources for the Centre.”
The Centenary Master of Preston Guild Lodge, Ian Greenwood, told the volunteers at Intact that the lodge was honoured to support such a worthy and valuable cause in Preston.
