It’s a decade since a community film was made about Preston during the 2012 Guild year.
The Preston Motion Picture Project was made by entirely by volunteers and in partnership with UCLan.
Described as a ‘portrait of Preston’, the 31-minute film was screened as part of the 2012 Christmas lights switch on event.
The editor of the film, Matt Stanton, told Blog Preston: “Watching the film ten years on certainly brings back happy memories, particularly in those last five or six minutes featuring the Guild celebrations.
“I’m still immensely grateful to the friends, colleagues and volunteers who helped pull it together, and the Councillors who helped fund the promotion and screenings. Too many to mention really, but they are all there in the end credits.”
