The Northern Institute of Taiwan Studies is set to run its final cultural event of the year.
A public talk and film screening with discussion will take place at the Taiwan Indigeneity Event on Friday 21 October.
The UCLan Spotlight Taiwan project is supported by the Ministry of Culture Spotlight Taiwan Project and the Institute for the Study of the Asia Pacific (ISAP).

11am-12pm Adelphi Building, ABLT5
Dr Chi-fang Chao from the University of Roehampton will deliver a lecture titled Representation and Resistance: Staging the Indigenous Bodies in the Post-colonial Taiwan.
1.30pm-5pm Harrington Building, Lecture Theatre
A film screening of ethnographic documentary Voices of Orchid Island by Dr Hu Tai-li will be shown during the first two hours.
This will be followed by a Q&A and commentary with Professor Scott Simon from the University of Ottawa from 3.30pm.

The lecture and Q&A session will be delivered both in person and via live-streaming, while the film will only be shown at the venue.
