Man in his 60s seriously hurt in Leyland collision

South Ribble police are appealing for witnesses and dashboard mounted camera footage, after a man in his 60’s was seriously injured in a road traffic collison in Leyland.

Police officers were called around 9.30pm yesterday (Sunday, October 9) to a report a Toyota Yaris car had collided with a pedestrian at the junction of Hough Lane and Dorothy Avenue.

The pedestrian, from Leyland, suffered serious chest and head injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota was not injured.

Police are appealing for information and urging any witnesses to come forward.
