Derelict Church Street building fire tackled during early hours of Sunday morning

Fire crews and two fire engines yesterday morning were called to a building on fire in Preston city centre.

At 7.14am on Sunday 9 October, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service from Preston attended a derelict building fire in Church Street.

Firefighters used one thirteen metre ladder and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The crews were in attendance for one hour and forty minutes. No injuries were reported.
