Arrest made after reports of a man trying car doors in Ashton-on-Ribble

Lancashire Police have arrested a man following reports of an individual trying car doors in the Ashton-on-Ribble area of Preston in the early hours of this morning.

Police officers were called to Ryelands Crescent at 4.40am to reports a man was trying to get into cars in the area.

A spokesperson for Lancashire police said: “Our officers quickly attended and arrested a 23-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of theft from a vehicle. He remains in custody at this time.”
