Mayor thanks Preston Markets trader who saved customer’s life

The Mayor has thanked a Preston Markets trader who saved a customer’s life.

Preston Mayor, Councillor Neil Darby, visited the market on Thursday (22 September) to thank Maureen, who works at Cherry Pie.

Councillor Darby said: “I presented flowers to Maureen on behalf of the people of Preston to thank her for her quick thinking and skills in saving Susan’s life by giving CPR in August.”

Councillor Darby went on to encourage others to find out about CPR, which stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

He said: “Learn CPR – it can save lives!”
