Investigation after fire at commercial building in Walton-le-Dale

An investigation has been launched after a fire at a commercial building in Walton-le-Dale.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze in Chorley Road in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 28 September).

Four fire engines from Preston, Bamber Bridge and Penwortham, along with the aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn and the aerial support unit, attended the incident.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used three hose reels and the aerial ladder platform to bring the fire under control.

Crews were on the scene for several hours.
