Urgent appeal to find ‘dangerous’ man wanted in connection with Ribbleton firearms incident

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a Preston man wanted in connection with a Ribbleton firearms incident.

Officers want to speak to Karl Bruney after the incident in the early hours of Tuesday 2 August.

They say Bruney, 33, of Grange Avenue, is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Bruney is 5ft 9in and of heavy build, with an ‘RIP BRO’ tattoo on his neck. He is primarily linked to Preston and Chorley but has links to Longridge too.

Detective Inspector Sean Cloherty of Preston Police, said: “I’m appealing to Karl Bruney to hand himself in to the nearest police station if he sees this information.”

Any sightings should immediately be reported using 999, while anyone with relevant information regarding Bruney’s whereabouts should call 101, quoting log 0055 of August 2, 2022.
